Time Magic Treasure
In a pot in the first floor basement of the castle, but not unguarded…
World 1: Walz Castle
If you continue to the north from the entrance you will find the throne room. There the king awaits you. You can explore the castle at your leisure, best not to keep his highness waiting.
The stairs down to the left lead to the jail. You’ll be given the choice of setting a couple of the villains free. While you can attempt to let the boy out, he gets too excited and passes out. Lone Wolf on the other hand would make his escape. I don’t recommend that you let him. If you answer yes, you will not be able to get the Blitz Whip later at Jachol Cave. It’s not an ultimate weapon, far from it, but it is nifty. And if you do decide to let him out you can steal the Blitz Whip from the Flaremancer enemies much later in the game at the Fork Tower. So choose wisely. Stepping on the lever opens a passage that leads outside of the castle. The southern exit also leads outside of the castle. There isn’t anything worth doing out there unless you think you are ready to take on Shiva or like frolicking in the water surrounding the castle.
The monster Jackanapes that dwells in the basement of Castle Walse is merciless. He hits for 300-500 damage. He has an apt 666 hp and he has no weaknesses. If you have a death wish by all means fight him. If you want to fight him and live, I’d suggest coming back later. Another option is to equip several of your party members with the !Escape ability and flee at the first sight of him. If you are hoping to get the Brave Blade, whose attack power is based on how few times you’ve fled from battle, later in the game this might not be a valid option. If you’re cowardly and opt for the Chicken Knife later, the opposite of the Brave Blade, then flee away, and enjoy the Elf Mantle and Speed magic for a little while before everyone else. I think it’s worth the wait.
The right stairs in the second floor lead down to the storage room. The guard there doesn’t protect his stores well. You can make off with a Tent, Phoenix Down, and 490 gil. The guard will tell you about an esper named Shiva. She’s around here somewhere. Nobody seems to know quite where though— The stairs leading up go (obviously) to the third floor.
The third floor is home to the castle library. It doesn’t boast any hidden treasure, but there are a few scholars among the tomes lamenting that their research would fare better if they had access to the Library of the Ancients to the west.

jackanapes is very easy to defeat, and it isnīt necesary to flee to get the elven mantle and the speed spell, only cast level 5 death on the little demon and the work is done!

difficult way to win this monster is. have 4 monks with guard ability. when battle starts start using guard, because then all physichal attacks makes only o damage. sometimes characters will counter it and make critical blow over 200-400. this is good way to eon it when you first time encounter it

A good way to beat the annoying Garkimasra in Worus Basement is to have a Ninja in your party use the throw ability and throw a Shuriken. This does 1000+ damage and instantly kills the monster. Of course, Finding Shurikens in the game is rare and you can buy them in certain towns but they are expensive! (About 1000 G if I remember correctly.) You can also steal a Protect potion from him before you kill him, but make sure you have enough life and magic before you do so.
