World 1: Walz Meteor
The adamantite gathering seems to go off without a hitch at this site. Just as you are about to make a hasty exit, a cute bomb-like enemy descends from the trees. Meet Purobolos. You’ll wish you hadn’t if you aren’t prepared.
hp: 1,500Boss Battle: Purobolos
The key to this battle is to know the foe’s habits and weaknesses and plan accordingly (isn’t that true of all of them?). The sad fact is, Purobolos doesn’t have any elemental weaknesses. Unfortunately he has many strong points. These eggplant-like bombs love to heal themselves. After each attack they cast Cura on themselves one at a time. They are virtually indestructible when beaten singly. When you finally bring one down, one of his friends simply casts Arise and you’re back to square one.
Their attacks are, for the most part, laughable. They do the usual Attack and Critical Attack for a paltry 32 points of damage. You only really have to worry about the Blue Magic Self-Destruct. This kamikaze attack kills its caster, but it usually kills its target as well. It hit my party for over 700 hp. That is sometimes survivable when cast once, but you have six little purple bombs ready, willing, and able to cast it.
The easiest, cheapest (in terms of skill required, not money), and fastest way to kill this boss is to use your newly acquired Samurai’s ! Zeninage skill. That should kill all of the purple-people-eaters in one shot. No other attack works as efficiently. Titan’s “Gaia’s Wrath” attack inflicts about 1,000 points of damage, which is a nice start. Most of the other summoned monsters only cause around 400 points of damage. If you’re trying to kill these guys off one by one, you may want to cast Silence on them so they can’t heal themselves or resurrect every last one of their friends when they die. When they do die, all you get for your hard work is 5 abp.

Meh, another one would be to just wait for everyone to cast exploder... do not kill anyone... let them kill themselves...

I simply threw a Water Scroll and used Aqua Breath and the battle was over.

I just waited them out, they run out of MP rather quickly.

this boss is really easy if you just think about it, they can resurrect each other if they all die at the same time right? so just equip everyone in your party with the summoner job and summon the newly acquired titan twice and theyll all die. piece of piss
