Well, if you're not lucky enough to have any ninjas with the control ability as everyone here is so keen on, you can make a try on summoners. Titan deals anywhere between 350-380 damage per shot. It's a long shot, and doing it with summoners is going to be a LONG battle. Make sure you've got plenty of ways to revive people and ways to restore mana...trust me, doing it this way will take a long time and there is no guarantee you will win. But hey, it's an alternative to ninjas. Escape moves are a good way to avoid it though !Dustb is a good one to use.
I've tried casting berserk on myself, and even though it means his attack "Knock Silly" has no effect (other than minor physical damage), it manages to Flee. I tried something else. Basically I have a Gladiator use !Finisher and hopefully it'll hit with the Elemental attack, and then I got other party members to mimic it.
when start the battle you must use berserk
You can easily trash it with 1 Ninja with the Ability Control. This way the job of the other 3 doesn't matter at all and the fights are over really quickly (4x Blaze + 1 physical attack from one of your chars). Due to the high speed of the Ninja and the higher chance of first attacks you should gain control over the Dragon right before he uses his powers to own you. With this tactics and party constellation I lvled from 23-34 in the Castle in no time.
Control works very well on him. In the GBA version, his blaze attack hits him for 4999. This will make short work and tons of experiance and cash (plus 5AP not to shabby either). I leveled up using control on him in world 2 starting aroun level 27.
